fingerless gloves prototype

I've been really inspired by Rodarte's knits. I wanted to try for a while to get a similar effect as below. Finally got to do something. Here's the prototype. I'm enough satisfied for the first try, slightly gotta adjust the knit to make it tighter on the arm.

It looks really great worn, it's so light and delicate, which mixes well with the destroyed look. Some holes are really big and perfect for the thumbs, so you can actually chose the way you wear the fingerless gloves. I just finished knitting the second arm, but I'm gonna knit a new pair with some modifications before posting fit pics of a pair.

Here are some fit pics of the new scarf/ hood i made!
You can see it worn as a hood but also just wrapped around, like a usual scarf.
(You probably can also notice one of the flower brooch i made)

hood scarf

So I finally finished a new project.
The scarf is 3'' large at the begining and slowly gets to 20'' large.
95'' long

The knit is really tight at the begining and it gets really loose the larger the scarf gets.
It can be just wrapped around as a regular scarf, but the largest part is wide and deep enough to be worn as a hood.

*fit pics to come*

Here, I combined the black thread with some wire.
50$ including shipping

What the rose looks like before being rolled up

For this destroyed broach, i combined black ribbon with a silver metal wire ribbon.
35$ shipped.

The plain crocheted rose broach (as seen in my previous post) is 40$ including shipping.

I'm currently working on combining the rose broaches with some metal, wire, beads to add a "jewelry" feeling to these accessories.

crocheted rose broach

i woke up one morning this week and decided that i wanted to crochet. so this is my first project. It's hard to see on this picture, but i used a thread that's 70% cotton and 30% nylon so it gives a shiny effect.

i made some others different crocheted and ribbon roses tonight, so i will post pictures of them tomorrow and give more informations and prices.

destroyed flowers broaches

prices are between 30$-45$ including shipping

I've been watching a lot of silent and german expressionist movies recently (well I've always been into these kinds but they bring me a lot of creative thoughts these days). There's something I find really inspiring by those black and white images, a bit blury, almost ghost-like, combining beauty and horror, love and hate, life and death to the point where you don't know what to think anymore. Lose yourself through that confusion, let it go to the depth of your soul and listen to the feelings it brings you.

Here's a good example of what inspires me( I don't know which movie it's from so if anyone know, please tell me). I find this video breathtaking and plus, it's combined to a song from Nico, who's my icon, favorite artist in many ways, well, to be exact, I'm actually obsessed with her, I've been for years. But that's something I will cover another day.

here it is:
